Brief description

Mid and East Antrim Borough Council would like to inform organisations of a funding opportunity under the Ending Violence Against Women and Girls (EVAWG) Change Fund, which is now open for applications.

This fund, delivered in partnership with the Northern Ireland Executive, forms part of a wider seven-year strategic framework to address gender-based violence, abuse and harm. It aims to support initiatives that prevent and challenge the attitudes, behaviours and cultural factors that contribute to violence against women and girls.

The fund is open to a broad range of organisations across the community, voluntary, sports, arts and faith sectors. Applications are invited for projects that can raise awareness, support innovative approaches, and strengthen community-led action across the Mid and East Antrim Borough Council area.

Funding is available through a tiered structure, with grants of up to:

·       £5,000 (Tier 1)

·       £15,000 (Tier 2)

·       £25,000 (Tier 3)

Projects should align with the following key outcomes:

·       Changing attitudes, behaviours and culture relating to violence against women and girls

·       Promoting healthy, respectful relationships

·       Helping women and girls feel safe and be safe in all settings

The fund opened on 18 June 2026 and will close on 20 July 2026 at 12 Noon.
